Scot Maitland is the Founder and Chief BearTender of the Elevated Bear, which specializes in elevated non-alcoholic beverages. Over the last 15 years, Scot has been committed to nonprofit development and event management.

Scot has also served in leadership roles at nonprofit organizations like God’s Love We Deliver and Hetrick-Martin Institute in New York. In these roles, he’s strived to foster inclusive communities and support mission-driven organizations.  

Additionally, Scot is a longtime advocate for LGBTQ+ economic empowerment and community wellness. Now, as a Meals on Wheels Central Texas Community Champion, Scot will be channeling his advocacy to uplift older adults and other homebound neighbors across Central Texas.  

Scot visited Meals on Wheels Central Texas on August 12 to learn more about the variety of programs we offer to empower our older adult neighbors. We are excited for Scot to join us in mission, as he uses his platform to champion the needs of Central Texas older adults.
