After a 30-year-long career as a manager at IBM, Judi Nudelman founded Women in Neuroscience (WiN) in 2018. Formerly named Neuroscience Studies Foundation, Judi founded the organization in honor of her late husband, respected neuroscientist Harvey Nudelman.
Harvey passed away from a rare neurological disease in 2018. The loss of her husband, in addition to Judi’s career experiences, inspired her to advocate for inclusion in the STEM fields.
Today, Women in Neuroscience promotes inclusion by providing pathways to pursue research and leadership in the field of Neuroscience for students from underserved and underrepresented communities.
Judi is an active community leader and mentor, striving to increase access to community resources. Judi is joining the Community Champions initiative to advocate for and uplift older adults across our community.
We welcomed her for a visit and tour of our Meals on Wheels offices, where she learned more about our life-enriching programs that serve older adults in need. Judi also experienced The Power of the Knock firsthand, delivering meals to neighbors during her visit. As a community advocate, Judi will use her platform to share the experiences of homebound older adults across Central Texas and promote the resources that help them remain independent.
